Lyse Arena Set to Roar Again as August Home Dates Confirmed
Viking FK return to Lyse Arena for two home Eliteserien fixtures in August, hosting Sarpsborg 08 on 8 August and Aalesund on 29 August. The back-to-back home ties give supporters the chance to back the defending champions in what promises to be a pivotal month in the title race.
A Busy August at Lyse Arena
Following back-to-back away fixtures in July, Viking FK return to Lyse Arena for the home stretch of their August schedule. Round 17 of the Eliteserien brings Sarpsborg 08 to Stavanger on Saturday 8 August, with kick-off set for 16:00 local time — a prime weekend slot that is expected to draw a strong crowd to the Lyse Arena.
The match will be Viking's first home game since a round 14 encounter against Sandefjord Fotball on 18 July, meaning supporters will have been waiting three weeks to see their side in action on home turf.
More to Come Before September
The Sarpsborg clash is not the only home date on the horizon. Viking are also scheduled to host Aalesund at Lyse Arena on 29 August for round 19, giving fans two home matches to look forward to in August alone.
With the club sitting at the top end of the table and European football already secured for next season, anticipation around Lyse Arena is running high. Season ticket holders and matchday visitors alike will be eager to play their part as Viking push for a second Eliteserien title in a row.
Fixtures to Note
Between the two August home games, Viking make the trip north to face Rosenborg on 14 August — a heavyweight Eliteserien fixture that will test the squad's depth before they return to Stavanger later in the month.
Tickets for the Aalesund fixture are available through the club's official website, while the Sarpsborg 08 match is listed without a separate ticketing link, suggesting arrangements may be confirmed closer to the date.
