Viking release tickets for final home games and Champions League away ties
Viking have put tickets on sale for the last two Eliteserien home games and the final two Champions League away matches. The leaders host Fredrikstad at Lyse Arena on 17 October. The club has also warned fans about ticket touts ahead of a busy month.
Tickets on sale
Viking have released tickets for the final two Eliteserien home matches of the season. They have also released tickets for the last two away games in the club's Champions League campaign. The club announced the release on 7 October and told supporters to check the dates so they don't miss out.
One of those home dates is the visit of Fredrikstad on Saturday 17 October. Kick-off at Lyse Arena is set for 18:00.
Kick-off could move
The ticket page carries a warning for anyone planning their weekend. The match can be moved within the same weekend, from Thursday to Monday, to fit TV scheduling. Supporters should keep an eye on official channels before making travel plans.
Lyse Arena is also cash free. Supporters should bring a card or use a mobile payment solution for food, drinks and merchandise on matchday.
Top of the table, with a big month ahead
Viking go into the run-in at the top of Eliteserien. After 21 matches they have 50 points, level with Bodø/Glimt. Tromsø are third on 38 and Molde fourth on 36. The stadium's own news channels describe Lyse Arena as the league's strongest fortress, with Viking holding the best home record in the division.
October is a heavy month. Viking travel to Brann for the western derby on Friday 9 October at 19:00. A visit from Bayern München is also on the Lyse Arena calendar, and the stadium has described the month as one of its busiest in years.
Warning on ticket touts
Demand for the big European nights has brought a warning from the club. Viking said some Europa Pass holders were reselling their passes as single tickets for the Bayern match. The asking prices were far above both the ordinary ticket price and what the holders had paid for the full pass.
The club urges supporters to buy only through official channels. Fans who want to be at Lyse Arena for the home games that remain should use the club's own ticket sales.
Reserves at home on Saturday
There is also football at the stadium complex on Saturday 10 October. Viking II host Vindbjart at 15:00. The reserve side lost 2-1 to Våg in their previous match on 26 September, and will want to bounce back. Their next fixture after that is against Flekkerøy on 24 October.
