Fans urged to avoid ticket touts as Viking's big weeks near
Viking have warned supporters about illegal resale of Bayern Munich tickets. Away tickets for Brann and Aston Villa have also been released as eleven players head off on national-team duty.
Ticket sales for the away trips
Viking supporters have a busy few weeks of travel as well as home games. The club released tickets for the away match at Aston Villa on Monday, September 28.
For the Western Norway derby at Brann on Friday, October 9, away-end tickets went on sale on the Wednesday after the club's September 21 announcement.
A warning on resale
Viking Fotball has also told supporters to watch out for illegal resale. In a notice on September 17 the club said some Europe Pass holders were reselling their passes as single tickets for the home game against Bayern Munich. The prices were far above the ordinary ticket price and what the sellers had paid for the whole pass.
The Bayern game is at Lyse Arena on October 13. Fans should buy tickets only through the club's official channels.
Eleven Vikings on international duty
On the pitch, eleven players from the first team and the Viking academy have been called up for international duty. Ten will represent Norway at various age levels. Amin Cosic has been picked for Iceland's U21 side.
Niklas Fuglestad has been called into the Norwegian U21 squad for the decisive European Championship qualifiers. The academy has also rewarded Andreas Bjørnsen with a professional contract after three years there.
Join the matchday team
The club is also recruiting off the pitch. Viking Fotball is looking for a new head of the private market. The role covers ticket sales, Viking+, matchday experiences and supporter engagement.
With Bayern, Fredrikstad and Tromsø all due in Stavanger this month, the work in that department will be busy.
