Viking face Bayern Munich at Lyse Arena on October 13. The club has warned fans about illegal resale of tickets for the match.

Bayern at Lyse Arena

Viking host Bayern Munich in the Champions League at Lyse Arena on Tuesday, October 13. The stadium's news page carries the headline "Bayern München Bound for Lyse Arena on 13 October".

The tie is the biggest fixture in the October calendar, which is packed with both league and European matches.

Warning over ticket resale

Viking FK has told supporters about illegal resale of tickets. The club said that some holders of the Europa Pass are selling their passes on as single tickets for the Bayern match. The prices are far above the ordinary ticket price for the game and above what the sellers paid for the whole pass.

Fans are advised to buy through the club's official channels.

A busy month

The month begins with the western derby away to Brann on Friday, October 9. The club has released away-end tickets for that match. After the Bayern game, Viking host Fredrikstad in the league on October 17, then travel to Aston Villa in the Champions League on October 21. Tickets for that away match went on sale on September 28. Viking then meet Tromsø at home on October 25 and travel to Bodø/Glimt on October 30, according to ESPN's fixture list.

Viking's reserve side, Viking II, also play at home against Vindbjart on October 10 at 15:00.

The national-team break has also touched the squad. The club says eleven players from the first team and the academy have been called up. Ten will represent Norway at various age levels, while Amin Cosic has been picked for Iceland's U21 side. Niklas Fuglestad is in the Norwegian U21 squad for the decisive European Championship qualifiers. Academy player Andreas Bjørnsen has also been rewarded with a professional contract.
